The historic Route 66 is over 2,400 miles long, stretching from Los Angeles to Chicago. Some portions of Route 66 that intersect with the mountain town of Flagstaff are rife with paranormal activity. On this ghostly tour, you’ll visit several haunted sites and learn about the tragic events that kept these spirits from moving on.

The Hell's Highway Ghost Tour is designed for mature audiences who are not turned off by hearing about some of the most gruesome hauntings in the City of Seven Wonders.

Your spectral adventure begins when you meet your guide outside the Hotel Monte Vista, where a few enduring spirits have been with the hotel so long that they have become part of its mystique.

Your guide will then lead you to several eerie spots along Route 66, recounting shocking stories of the history and paranormal occurrences at each haunted property.

Leave the kids behind for a spooky evening for Adults-Only guided walking tour with mature content and language.

Some of the spooky spots you'll possibly visit on the tour:

  • The Monte Vista Hotel: Standing tall in the heart of downtown, there is no shortage of paranormal mysteries at one of the “City of Seven Wonders” most notorious haunts. From the ghosts of bellboys and murdered sex workers to prohibition-era cocktail lounges and bootleg tunnels, you can check-in for a spine-tingling time here. Keep an eye out for spirits that roam the halls at night!
  • The Weatherford Hotel: Rumors about the hotel’s paranormal activity has been circulating the Capitol Hill neighborhood for years. From full-body apparitions, playful poltergeists, phantom sounds, and a portal to the spirit realm beyond, the hotel is ‘alive’ with spectral activity.
  • The Orpheum Theatre: Constructed in 1916, the theatre has had its share of hauntings, including spirits who roam the balcony at night, the prankster poltergeist who once created a ruckus at the concession stand, and the bad energy in the men’s bathroom.
