Are you ready for a historically accurate yet spooky outdoor walking tour of Philadelphia's Historic District ... haunted sites and the ghosts of our Founding Fathers!
This family friendly ghostly walking tour takes you on a journey to encounter the ghosts of Philadelphia, visiting historic cemeteries, haunted buildings, and much more.
Your spooky adventure begins near Welcome Park, with your guide introducing you to Philadelphia's spooky past. Then, you’ll head off to visit some of the most haunted locations in the city.
Some of the possible haunted stops along the tour:
- Bishop White House: As you walk past the Bishop White House, you’ll feel a chill run down your spine. Originally built in 1787 for William White, this historic building is said to be haunted by two men, a woman, and a cat. Visitors to Bishop White House claim to have seen the shadow of someone moving from one side of the room to another.
- First Bank of the United States: Closed to the public for more than 40 years, legend has it that the First Bank of the United States is teeming with spirits and that Alexander Hamilton’s ghost roams the hallways. There is definitely paranormal activity going on here.
- Washington Park: Part of the original five squares established by Pennsylvania founder William Penn, the Square is a lush haven in a bustling city. Warning, originally a potter’s field burial ground, you may encounter the ghosts of early Philadelphians put to rest here!
